What’s new on HBO and Max in February 2024

HBO and Max‘s February lineup revolves around four very different shows. The animated comedy Clone High, begins its second season on February 1. On February 4, Larry David’s long-running comedy series, Curb Your Enthusiasm, starts its 12th and final season. Four days later on February 8, the Max original series Tokyo Vice returns for its second season. Finally, on February 18, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver premieres its 11th season of comedy and news.

This month’s movie additions include cinema classics like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Citizen Kane, and A Clockwork Orange. And if you’re a fan of DC’s various direct-to-video animated superhero movies, check them out while you can. Max is purging many of them at the end of February.

Is there an (HBO) Max free trial?
There’s no conventional HBO Max free trial to speak of. While other streaming services might allow you to simply log on and pick a free trial, HBO Max is a little more complicated than that.

Right now, one method to check out HBO Max for free is to activate a new Roku streaming device. One of the best streaming devices you can buy, new Rokus currently come with a 27-day free trial of the ad-free version of Max but the deal only runs until mid February 2024.
